FOUNDER + CLINICAL DIRECTOR

WASHINGTON, DC

With over 10 years of mental health experience through her education, professional practice, and lived experiences, Jessica Brown, LICSW specializes in serving BIPOC and multiracial teens and adults seeking to heal from trauma, depression, and/or anxiety utilizing eclectic therapeutic methods including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Trauma-Focused CBT; and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Further, she is a trained facilitator in Prepare/Enrich for premarital and marriage counseling. 

 

She received her Masters of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino with an emphasis in Ethnic Studies.

​

In 2018, Jessica was honored as Huff Post's "10 Black Female Therapists You Should Know."  As the practice's namesake "Nia," Jessica's goal is to destigmatize mental health in BIPOC communities to gain power and purpose in their plights while using their stories to empower our collective community.

Nia Noire Therapy + Wellness is a group mental health practice based in Washington, DC serving BIPOC women + girls healing through depression, anxiety, and/or trauma via individual, couples, family, and group therapies. 

​

We are seeking dynamic part-time clinicians to support our mission of impacting women + girls across the country through radical vulnerability and healing.  Clinicians will receive credentialing assistance, billing support, marketing, and initial intake scheduling.

We offer competitive pay and electronic medical record with HIPAA compliant teletherapy platform

deets:

We're looking for someone who:

  • Graduated with a Masters of Social Work or Clinical Mental Health

  • Fully, independently licensed as LICSW or LCSW in practicing state

  • Available to accept minimum of 10 clients

  • Able to work remotely from a HIPAA compliant space

  • Paneled with BCBS, Aetna, or Cigna (preferred but not required)
